The December 2026 schedule page lists 16 items. By name: four HG items, three 30 Minutes Fantasy (30MF), three 30 Minutes Preference (30MP), two 30 Minutes Sisters (30MS), two GUNDAM ASSEMBLE, one MG and one 30 Minutes Missions (30MM).

Every item page carries the same two notes: "The information is for Japan. May vary depending on the region." and "The price shown is for Japan. Tax is not included." None of the 16 pages showed a "Tentative" label or a moved-month notice when we read them. We also tried Bandai's Japanese December schedule, but that URL returned a not-found page on October 11, so this list follows the English schedule only.

The three GUNPLA items

Bandai files each item under a category in the page breadcrumb. In December, only three sit under GUNPLA.

The MG is the month's only Gundam in a regular grade. Its page places it in Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM and describes it as the new Gundam Astray "featured in 'MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM SEED FREEDOM ASTRAY'."

GUNDAM ASSEMBLE is a tabletop game line. Both December pages open the same way: "From BANDAI TABLETOP GAMES comes the DELUXE SET for GUNDAM ASSEMBLE, a miniature battle game that brings approximately 50mm Gunpla into dynamic tabletop combat!" The Deluxe Set 02 is the most expensive item of the month.

The HG kits: Super Robot Wars and Macross

Four December items carry HG in the name, and none is a Gundam. Bandai files all four under character plastic model kits.

The Alteisen Riese page reads: "From the 'Super Robot Wars OG' series, the enhanced unit of the Alteisen called 'ALTEISEN RIESE' has been commercialized in the HG series!"

The Macross kit is a 1/100 HG, while November's HG Gundam Ashtaron is 1/144. Its page says it uses "Replacement Three-Step Deformation (Shortcut Change)" to simplify the transformation by swapping some parts. Bandai sells it three ways: the kit, a 750 yen sheet that is "A dedicated water-transfer decal designed to faithfully recreate the in-show version", and a 7,800 yen Deluxe Set "featuring a special acrylic stand and water-transfer decals".

The 30 Minutes lines

These are Bandai kits outside the GUNPLA category. Nine of the 16 December items belong here.

30MM and 30MF

EXBRAVE is the second "Exa Beast" after November's EXWILD: a "quadrupedal mechanical beast" that "does not belong to the existing three factions". The Superior Arch Knight is, in Bandai's words, "the series' first-ever Class V". The EXBRAVE is also the only December item marked for ages 8 and up.

30MS and 30MP

The Yukata 01 is unusual for a plastic kit: Bandai calls it "A cloth costume that expands the world when combined with the 30MS base". The 30MP Aris (Maid) page describes the kit as "Alice (Maid) from 'Blue Archive'", and the two Ghost in the Shell items come from the new anime, according to their pages.

The GUNDAM ASSEMBLE Deluxe Set 02 tops the month at 13,000 yen. Next come the VF-31F Deluxe Set at 7,800 yen and the MG Liberty Astray Red Frame at 7,500 yen. The cheapest full kits are the 30MM EXBRAVE and the 30MP Fuchikoma at 2,500 yen each; below them sit option parts, a costume and the decal sheet.

US preorders we found

The schedule month is Japan's month. On October 11, 2026, US shops showed later dates for the same items.

Gundam Planet adds a caveat to its arrival months: "The official North American distributor for this product estimates the above arrival month. It is possible this date will be delayed." Treat every date in this table as an estimate.

The two Alteisen Riese listings differ by $9.23 on the same day. Price gaps like that are normal between shops, which is one reason to compare two or three before you preorder.

The December kits are not out yet. This customer review on Gundam Planet is about an earlier kit from the same Astray line, the MG Gundam Astray Red Frame Kai, read on the product page on October 11, 2026.

That review describes a different, older kit. Bandai's page for the December Liberty Astray promises "new sculpting", so treat the review as a guide to the line, not to this kit.

Read as a buyer's list, December 2026 splits four ways.

1. Gundam fans: the MG Liberty Astray Red Frame is the one grade kit, at 7,500 yen in Japan and $92.99 at USA Gundam Store.
2. Tabletop players: GUNDAM ASSEMBLE gets a 13,000 yen Deluxe Set 02 and a 3,000 yen Expansion Pack 05.
3. Super Robot Wars and Macross fans: the HG Alteisen Riese and the VF-31F in three versions. Note the VF-31F is 1/100, a larger scale than the 1/144 HG Gundam Ashtaron from November.
4. 30 Minutes builders: nine items, from a 1,200 yen option set to the 5,500 yen 30MP Aris (Maid).

Is December a good month for a first kit? Not really. Every item except the 30MM EXBRAVE carries a 15+ age mark, and none is an Entry Grade or an HG Gundam.

December 2026 is a one-kit month for Gundam builders: the MG Liberty Astray Red Frame. If you want it, a US preorder at $92.99 with a Q1 2027 estimate is what the market showed on October 11, so budget for a wait. Everyone else should pick by series, not by grade, because the HG label this month covers a Super Robot Wars kit and a 1/100 Macross valkyrie. Check each item page again before December starts in case a name or month changes.

On October 11, 2026 we read Bandai's English schedule for December 2026 and the item page of each of the 16 items, copying name, Japan price, age mark and category, and re-checked the MG page ourselves. Bandai's Japanese December schedule URL returned a not-found page that day, including in a headless browser, so we did not compare the two lists. US prices and dates come from USA Gundam Store, Galactic Toys and Gundam Planet product pages read the same day. HLJ's pages refused our automated reads, so it is not listed.

Are the HG kits in December 2026 Gundams? No. The four December items with HG in the name are the HG Alteisen Riese from Super Robot Wars OG and three HG 1/100 VF-31F Siegfried items from Macross Delta: the kit, a water decal sheet and a Deluxe Set.
