Gunpla Releasing in February 2027: RG Ground Type + 19 More

The priciest item in the Gunpla releasing in February 2027 is not the month's RG kit but a 30 Minutes Missions Armored Core VI kit, the 30MM Schneider Nachtreiher/40E Dual Nature at ¥5,280 with tax. Bandai's Japanese list has 20 general items, and US shops already take preorders for all nine kits and game packs we searched, so the call is which one fits your shelf and your wait.

As of Oct 29, 2026: Bandai's Japanese prices (with tax) and months as listed that day, and US shop listings read the same afternoon. Bandai may change both; we recheck weekly and log changes below.

Overview: Gunpla releasing in February 2027, all 20 items

Bandai's Japanese February 2027 schedule has 20 general-release cards, the RG Gundam Ground Type and 19 more, all marked 2027年02月 with no day. A separate section lists five Premium Bandai items, covered at the end of this section. The odd part is the English schedule for the same month: it lists only the three HG kits and leaves out the RG. So the names below are Bandai's Japanese names, with the English name from Bandai's English page or a US shop in brackets.

The Gundam kits and add-ons

Only the Infinite Justice kit carries 仮 (Tentative name). Age marks come from the item pages we opened; we did not open the four decal pages, so their cells are blank.

The other lines

Plakoro is Bandai's Pokémon line; the bracketed names are the Pokémon's English names, our translation. The 30MS and 30MF rows are parts and seal sheets, not new figures, so February adds one new 30MF figure kit and no new 30MS character. Our 30 Minutes Sisters guide explains how the option body parts fit.

The five Premium Bandai items sit in their own section of the same page and are not counted in the 20: the RG StarGaoGaiGar at ¥11,000, the HG Calvary Temple (Royal Guard) at ¥4,620, the Hyper Function LBX Ifrit at ¥3,630, the 30MM テックプロトエリート (Tech Proto Elite, base defense type, our translation) at ¥3,300 and the HG 流星号 (Ryusei-Go, Graze Custom III, our translation) at ¥2,750, all with tax. Those are Bandai's own-shop orders; our Premium Bandai guide covers how a US buyer gets one.

Analysis: one RG, two game kits, one film kit

RG 1/144 Gundam Ground Type. From Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team. Bandai's Japanese page says the body and the weapons are all newly sculpted, and the waist and leg frame lets it crouch and take the firing poses from the show. The chest opens for the Vulcans and the cockpit hatch, the weapon container hangs on the backpack, and the head antenna comes in white or yellow, chosen at assembly. The box lists a 100mm machine gun, a 180mm cannon, a rocket launcher, two beam sabers and a realistic decal. Our RG Gundam Ground Type guide compares it with the 2000 MG.

Desk note: In our copy of Bandai's Japanese item list (checked Oct 25), the last RG 1/144 Gundam with a general-release month before this one is the RG Wing Gundam Zero of September 2025, at the same ¥4,620. That is a 17-month gap. For a US builder who only buys RG from shops, February is the first new Gundam in over a year.

HG Calice and HG Bau Bahlam. Two kits from the 2027 action game GUNDAM ROGUE ORBIT, ¥3,080 each. Both pages promise flaps that open on the arms and legs and parts to customize with other Rogue Orbit items. The Calice carries a lance on its backpack. The Bau Bahlam carries a large chainsaw, and a lead wire in the box recreates the chainsaw's starter cord. Our GUNDAM ROGUE ORBIT Gunpla guide lists the whole line, from January's HG Gundam Helix on.

HG Infinite Justice Gundam & Booster Unit. A Tentative name from MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM SEED FREEDOM ZERO. Its page lists a newly sculpted large booster unit, a new shield and a beam saber effect molded in a color gradient. The film is scheduled for North American theaters in February 2027, per GUNDAM Official, the same month the kit is scheduled in Japan. Our SEED FREEDOM ZERO Gunpla guide covers all five items from the film.

30MM Dual Nature and Weapon Set 09. Both are Armored Core VI tie-ins. The Dual Nature is the AC flown by V.VIII Pater in the game, with four weapons and Pater's emblem on a marking seal. Bandai says its head, core, arms and legs use the line's shared structure, so you can swap parts as you would assemble an AC in the game. Weapon Set 09 adds four more weapons, with left and right versions you choose at assembly. Our 30 Minutes Missions guide explains the shared 3mm standard.

30MF Necros Mephisto. A starter set: the base Silhouette body plus armor and weapons, with the same body form as the 30MF Rosan Knight, says its page. Age 15+, against 8+ on both 30MM items.

Gundam Assemble SC01 and EX08. Miniatures for Bandai's tabletop game, three unpainted figures in each. SC01 also brings a game map and a scenario that needs STARTER SET 01 [ST01]; EX08 is from Char's Counterattack. Our Gundam Assemble guide explains the game.

Three of the four Gundam Decal sheets are HG multi-use sets for The 08th MS Team, SEED DESTINY and MS IGLOO; No.150 fits the MGSD Freedom. None is made for the RG Ground Type. If you have not used water decals, our water decals guide starts with Bandai's own method.

When Gunpla releasing in February 2027 reaches US shops

The schedule month is Japan's month. On Oct 29, both US shops took orders for all nine kits and packs we searched:

Diagram: PlamoDesk. Sources: USA Gundam Store and Gundam Planet search data and product pages, Oct 29.

The two shops sit within $1.04 of each other on every row. The difference is timing: Gundam Planet names a month, and USA Gundam Store only a quarter. Two Gundam Planet pages answered "too many requests" that afternoon, so their arrival cells stay empty. USA Gundam Store also listed the 30MS SU03 (Color B) at $24.99 and the Gundam Decal sheets at $15.99 for the multi-use sets and $8.99 for No.150, all tagged Q2 2027. Shop terms differ; our guide to where to buy Gunpla in the US compares them.

What builders say

Two comments on the Bau Bahlam's chainsaw, from an r/Gunpla thread on the kit posted Oct 2 (230 comments by Oct 29):

• "Is that a pull start chainsaw that mobile suit is holding? It’s so stupid. I love it." (comment, 4 points)
• "Gonna get two so i can attach the chainsaws on the arms" (comment, a reply, 5 points)

The pull start is real: Bandai's page lists the lead wire for the starter.

What we don't know yet

Release days for all 20 items. The final name of the Infinite Justice kit. When Bandai's English page adds the RG Gundam Ground Type and the 30 Minutes items. Gundam Planet's arrival months for the Infinite Justice kit and Weapon Set 09.

What changed since Oct 29

• Oct 29: first check. Bandai's Japanese schedule: 20 general items, all 2027年02月, plus five Premium Bandai cards. Bandai's English February schedule: three HG kits.

Our take

Preorder the RG Gundam Ground Type if you build RG; everyone else can pick by show. It is the only RG on February's general list and the first RG 1/144 Gundam there in 17 months, and the US price sits at $53.99 to $54.95. The two Rogue Orbit kits cost $34.95 to $34.99, so buy the one whose weapon you like; the Bau Bahlam's pull-start chainsaw is the stranger toy. Skip the Dual Nature unless you play Armored Core VI: at $57.99 to $58.95 it costs more than the RG. We recheck the Japanese and English schedules weekly until February ends.

How we checked this

On Oct 29 we read Bandai's Japanese February 2027 schedule and the item pages of the three HG kits, the RG, both 30MM items, the 30MF kit and both Gundam Assemble packs, plus Bandai's English February schedule. Counts by month and the RG history come from our copy of Bandai's Japanese item list (Oct 25). US prices come from both shops' search data that afternoon, and arrival months from Gundam Planet's product pages; two of those pages refused the request and are marked "not read". Reddit comments were read through an archive service. Premium Bandai's own pages were not opened.

Frequently Asked Questions

Four are Gundam grade kits: the RG 1/144 Gundam Ground Type at ¥4,620 with tax, the HG Infinite Justice Gundam & Booster Unit (Tentative name) at ¥4,070, and the HG Calice and HG Bau Bahlam at ¥3,080 each. The rest are decals, 30 Minutes items, Gundam Assemble packs and Plakoro sets.

Is there a new MG or RG in February 2027? One general-release RG and no MG. The RG 1/144 Gundam Ground Type is scheduled for February 2027 in Japan at ¥4,620 with tax, with the body and weapons all newly sculpted, per Bandai's Japanese page. It is the first RG 1/144 Gundam on Bandai's general list since the RG Wing Gundam Zero of September 2025. Premium Bandai also lists the RG StarGaoGaiGar, not a Gundam.

Why does Bandai's English February 2027 schedule list only three kits? On Oct 29 Bandai's English schedule for February 2027 showed three HG kits: the Calice and the Bau Bahlam at ¥2,800 and the Infinite Justice Gundam & Booster Unit at ¥3,700, with no tax label shown. Each figure equals the Japanese with-tax price divided by 1.1. The RG Gundam Ground Type was not on it, so this guide uses the Japanese list of all 20 items.

When will February 2027 Gunpla arrive in the US? Later than February. On Oct 29 USA Gundam Store tagged every February item we searched Q2 2027. Gundam Planet's product pages gave a March 2027 arrival for the Calice, the Bau Bahlam, the 30MM Dual Nature, the 30MF Necros Mephisto and both Gundam Assemble packs, and April 2027 for the RG Gundam Ground Type.

How much is the RG Gundam Ground Type in the US? On Oct 29 USA Gundam Store listed the RG 1/144 Gundam Ground Type at $53.99 as a preorder tagged Q2 2027, and Gundam Planet at $54.95 with an April 2027 arrival.
