Three HG kits, from January 2027: that is the Gundam Rogue Orbit Gunpla on Bandai's Japanese list, and Bandai Namco's US store now dates the game itself to March 5, 2027. If you liked the trailer, the question is which kit to preorder first. And Rogue Orbit is not an anime; GUNDAM Official calls it an action game from Bandai Namco. The odd detail is on the third kit's page: it comes with a large chainsaw and a lead wire to recreate the chainsaw's starter.
As of Oct 21, 2026: Bandai's Japanese prices and months and the US shop listings as read on Oct 19; the game's date, the Collector's Edition and Bandai's series page read again on Oct 21. Bandai may change both before release; we recheck before January.
Key Takeaways
- Three HG kits, one series page: Bandai's Japanese site files them under GUNDAM ROGUE ORBIT.
- First out: HG 1/144 Gundam Helix, January 2027, ¥2,750 with tax, age 8+. Official images
- February 2027: HG 1/144 ケリィース and HG 1/144 バウバラム, ¥3,080 with tax each.
- The source is a game: developed by Bandai Namco Studios, part of the RG Project, expected in March 2027 (the 5th, per Bandai Namco's US store).
- Collector's Edition: $159.99, with an HG 1/144 Gundam Helix (Earth Blue Ver.) sold only in that bundle.
- For US builders: USA Gundam Store takes preorders and Gundam Planet lists all three, from $26.95. No English item pages yet.
Overview: the three kits on Bandai's list
Bandai's series page for GUNDAM ROGUE ORBIT lists three items. All three are HG 1/144 kits for ages 8 and up.
| Kit (Bandai's name) | US shop name | Japan price (with tax) | Status | Official page |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| HG 1/144 ガンダムヘリックス (Gundam Helix) | HG ARK-10 Gundam Helix | ¥2,750 | scheduled for Jan. 2027 | Official images |
| HG 1/144 ケリィース | HG TRA122E/B Calice | ¥3,080 | scheduled for Feb. 2027 | Official images |
| HG 1/144 バウバラム | HG BMP4/6 Bau Bahlam | ¥3,080 | scheduled for Feb. 2027 | Official images |
All three item pages give a month and no day. Bandai's English site has no page for any of them yet. GUNDAM Official uses the English name Gundam Helix; for the other two, the English names here are the US shops' names, not Bandai's.

What the game is
GUNDAM Official's post on the game is dated June 6, and a later post says it was unveiled at Summer Game Fest on June 5, 2026. In its words, GUNDAM ROGUE ORBIT "is slated to launch in 2027 on PlayStation®5, XBOX Series X|S, and PC via Steam®." Bandai Namco's own US store is more precise: it expects the game on March 5. Bandai Namco Studios develops it. The player is an ace pilot called RE-X, and the Gundam Helix is RE-X's high-mobility suit.
A second post, from July, places the game in the RG Project and "in the same universe as the anime." It adds that the anime and the game "can each be enjoyed as standalone works." That post also shared concept art for a second suit, the Apocalypse, which has no kit on Bandai's list. GUNDAM Official's RG Project post, also from July, names the anime: Mobile Suit Gundam RG XARX-ZERO, directed by Kenji Kamiyama, "set roughly 100 years before the events of GUNDAM ROGUE ORBIT."
The Earth Blue Helix in the Collector's Edition
The store sells a $159.99 Collector's Edition, on a waitlist when we read it on Oct 21. Its contents list an "HG 1/144 ARK-10 GUNDAM HELIX (EARTH BLUE ver.)", which the store calls "An exclusive 15-cm special color version" that "is only available as a bundle purchase with the base game." GUNDAM Official's Gunpla post says the same: a regular color version for general sale, plus an Earth Blue Ver. "exclusive to the game bundle." Bandai's Japanese series page still lists only the three regular kits.

Analysis: what each kit page promises
Bandai's Japanese pages say it first, and they say it the same way (our translation).
HG Gundam Helix. A range of motion for the suit's agile moves in the game. Flaps on the arms and legs open. The sword has two forms, and the sword and rifle hang on the backpack. The box lists a sword, a rifle, a backpack and a foil seal.
HG ケリィース. The same range of motion and flaps, and a lance that hangs on the backpack. The box adds parts for the in-game look, a foil seal and a marking seal. Gundam Planet describes its Calice as "A knight-inspired mobile suit," and its page has the same lance on the backpack. Bandai has not given an English name, so we match the two by that lance and by the order USA Gundam Store numbers them.
HG バウバラム. The same flaps, and a large chainsaw that hangs on the backpack. A lead wire comes in the box to recreate the chainsaw's starter.
That line closes all three pages: you can customize the kit with other GUNDAM ROGUE ORBIT products to relive the customization in the game. No separate option set for the series is on Bandai's list yet.
Desk note: Our weekly copy of Bandai's Japanese list picked up the three Rogue Orbit kits in its Oct 18 run, together with an April 2027 HG 1/144 Gundam ZERO at ¥2,750, filed under 機動戦士ガンダムRG XARX-ZERO, the anime GUNDAM Official sets roughly 100 years before the game. On price, the Helix and the Gundam ZERO match at ¥2,750, and the two February kits cost ¥330 more each.

What it means for US builders
On Oct 19 both big US shops listed all three kits:
| Kit | Gundam Planet | USA Gundam Store |
|---|---|---|
| Gundam Helix | $26.95 | $26.99, preorder, tag Q1 2027 |
| Calice (ケリィース) | $34.95 | $34.99, preorder, tag Q2 2027 |
| Bau Bahlam (バウバラム) | $34.95 | $34.99, preorder, tag Q2 2027 |
Diagram: PlamoDesk. Sources: Gundam Planet and USA Gundam Store search, Oct 19.
USA Gundam Store files them as HGAA #1 to #3. Its Q2 2027 tag for the February kits sits a quarter after the Japanese month, as with other kits we track. Gundam Planet's search did not show arrival months, and its product pages did not load for us that evening. On Oct 23 they did, at the same prices: a February 2027 arrival for the Helix and March 2027 for the Calice and the Bau Bahlam, a month after Japan in each case. Shop rules for preorders differ; our guide to where to buy Gunpla in the US compares them.
What builders say
The kits are not out. These comments come from an r/Gunpla thread on the Helix's January release, posted Oct 2:
- "I already liked the Helix as soon as I saw it but I just keep liking it more and more. The astronaut inspiration is just supreme!!" (comment)
- "Way too greebled. And this is from someone that appreciated the EX." (comment)
- "I'm growing to like it more myself as well, especially the EVA suit shaping, but I think the Calice has stolen the show for me" (comment)
One spacesuit, two opinions on the greebles.
Our take
Start with the HG Gundam Helix: it is first out and the cheapest, at $26.95. It ships in Japan in January 2027, a month before the other two, at ¥2,750 with tax against ¥3,080. The February kits add a lance and a large chainsaw, but Bandai's English names are still missing. If you only want the game's hero suit, one kit covers it; the Earth Blue version costs the $159.99 Collector's Edition. We check Bandai's English schedule and both shops again when the January list goes up in English.
What we don't know yet
Release days for all three, and Bandai's English names for the two February kits. Whether an option set or a kit of the Apocalypse follows. Whether GUNDAM Official confirms the March 5 date: its game post still says 2027.
How we checked this
On Oct 19 we read Bandai's Japanese series page for GUNDAM ROGUE ORBIT, the three item pages, Bandai's English item pages (not found), the January and February schedules, and GUNDAM Official's two English posts on the game. US prices come from both shops' search with sold-out items shown, read that evening. On Oct 21 we read Bandai Namco Entertainment America's store page for the Collector's Edition, GUNDAM Official's Gunpla and RG Project posts, the game post and the series page again. On Oct 23 we reread the store page, both shops' product pages and the quoted comments. The trailer's channel was checked through YouTube. Reddit comments were read through an archive service. We haven't built these kits.
