30MP Kits: All 16, From ¥2,750 to ¥6,050 With Tax (2026)

TL;DR: 30 Minutes Preference (30MP) is Bandai's anime-character line in the 30 MINUTES LABEL, not a Gunpla grade. Bandai's Japanese list has 16 kits: 14 general releases at ¥2,500 to ¥5,500 before tax (¥2,750 to ¥6,050 with tax) and 2 sold only through Premium Bandai's Hobby Online Shop. Gundam Planet lists all 14 general kits at $30.95 to $70.95. The oddest part so far: Gendo's glasses, packed with Rei Ayanami. Checked Nov 4, 2026.

Text card on Bandai's 30MP line: 16 kits, 2,750 to 6,050 yen with tax, next Japan date Nov 7, US prices $30.95 to $70.95

Japanese shops get three new 30MP kits on Saturday, Nov 7: the Walpurgisnacht: Rising versions of Madoka Kaname and Homura Akemi, and Enia from Vertex Force. If you buy in the US, order a kit Bandai has already shipped, because one large US shop puts the November and December kits it lists at "Q1 2027".

What are 30MP kits? (quick answer)

30MP kits are Bandai plastic kits of named characters from seven anime and game series, from Bocchi the Rock! to Ghost in the Shell. Every item page we opened marks them 15 and over. Start with one that is already on sale in Japan; the November and December kits reach US shops later.

Key Takeaways

  • Bandai's Japanese 30MP list has 16 kits on Nov 4: 14 general releases and 2 Hobby Online Shop items for January and March 2027.
  • Japan prices run from ¥2,500 (Fuchikoma) to ¥5,500 (Aris (Maid)) before tax, and ten kits sit at ¥4,000 to ¥4,500.
  • Next in Japan: Nov 7 for Madoka, Homura and Enia, Nov 28 for Powered Natsumi & Giroro, then Aris, Kusanagi Motoko and the Fuchikoma in December.
  • Gundam Planet lists all 14 general kits; USA Gundam Store lists 11 and tags six of them pre-order, Q1 2027.
  • Bandai's pages give no scale, and USA Gundam Store tags the kits "Non-Scale".

Overview: what 30 Minutes Preference is

Bandai's 30 MINUTES LABEL page calls the label "A BANDAI SPIRITS plastic model brand built around 30 minutes of losing track of time." It lists four brands. 30 Minutes Missions makes robots, 30 Minutes Sisters makes girl figures built from swappable bodies and parts, and 30 Minutes Fantasy makes knights and monsters. 30 Minutes Preference makes characters you already know. Bandai's site menu puts GUNPLA and 30 MINUTES LABEL side by side, so 30MP is not a Gunpla line.

The brand opened with the 30MP Hitori Gotoh (Official images) on Mar 22, 2025 in Japan. Its page still calls 30 MINUTES PREFERENCE "the new brand". Each 30MP kit sells a named character with parts from the show; the Sgt. Frog box holds two. Hitori gets an empty bottle for bottleneck guitar. Nijika Ijichi comes with a drum set. Rei Ayanami (Plug Suit Ver.) ships with the Spear of Longinus, an S-DAT player and Gendo's glasses.

Desk note: Bandai's English 30MP list (read Nov 4) prices the 14 general-release kits from ¥2,500 to ¥5,500 before tax, and ten of them sit at ¥4,000, ¥4,400 or ¥4,500. Plan on a ¥4,000-class kit per character. The other four are the Fuchikoma (¥2,500), Powered Natsumi & Giroro (¥4,800), Nijika with her drum set (¥5,400) and Aris (Maid) (¥5,500).

Kit names as on Bandai's English pages; series from Bandai's filters and item pages. Hobby Online Shop items link to Premium Bandai, not to a Bandai Hobby item page.

Bocchi the Rock! leads with five kits, counting Kikuri. Madoka Magica and Evangelion have three each, Ghost in the Shell two, and Sgt. Frog, Vertex Force and Blue Archive one each. The pace is picking up: three kits came out in 2025, eleven are dated 2026, and two are set for 2027. Bandai's November 2026 shop list puts the two Madoka kits and Enia on Nov 7 and Powered Natsumi & Giroro on Nov 28. The rest of that month, from the HG Ashtaron down, is in our November 2026 release list.

Step-by-Step: buying your first 30MP kit in the US

1. Pick the character, then check the Japan date. A kit Bandai has already shipped is the easy buy. On Nov 4, Gundam Planet could take orders for six of the seven kits released before November; the Madoka Kaname (School Uniform Ver.) was the one it was not taking orders for.

2. Read the accessory list on both Bandai pages. The English and Japanese pages do not always match. The English page for the Fuchikoma lists hand parts and a lead wire. The Japanese page lists only the hand parts. Gundam Planet's listing copies the English one, lead wire included. Also check the faces: the Enia page lists no face parts at all, while the Walpurgisnacht Madoka adds a Kyubey.

3. Compare two shops on the same day. Eleven kits sit at both Gundam Planet and USA Gundam Store. On Nov 4 the gap ran from $0.04 to $3.04 per kit, and neither shop was cheaper on all eleven.

4. For the November and December kits, plan on 2027 at US shops. USA Gundam Store tags six of them pre-order with "Q12027": Madoka (Rising), Enia, Powered Natsumi & Giroro, Aris (Maid), Kusanagi Motoko and the Fuchikoma, which it was not taking orders for. HLJ, a Japan exporter, shows the Walpurgisnacht Madoka and the Fuchikoma as "Available preorder slots are full" and says it will take more orders on release "if stock is available."

5. Treat the two Hobby Online Shop kits as Premium Bandai items. The Rei Ayanami (School Uniform Ver.) and Kikuri Hiroi link straight to Premium Bandai on Bandai's Japanese list, and neither appears on the English list. Bandai's item pages explain that the order button sends you to Premium Bandai's "HOBBY ONLINE SHOP". On Nov 4, none of the three shops we read listed either kit. Our Premium Bandai guide explains what that shop is and what its exclusives cost.

Prices as the shops' own search data showed them at 03:52 on Nov 4, 2026, Vietnam time (afternoon of Nov 3 in the US). USA Gundam Store prices are its sale prices; its regular prices were $1 to $5 higher. Gundam Planet shows sale prices on four kits, marked (sale), with regular prices $2 to $4 higher. "Not found" means the kit did not come up in our searches of that shop.

Same yen, different dollars. The three Bocchi kits at ¥4,400 before tax list at $54.95, $58.95 and $60.95 at Gundam Planet, a $6 spread on one Japan price. Across all 14, Gundam Planet asks between $11.99 and $13.85 for every ¥1,000 of Japan price before tax. That is a ratio of two listed prices, not an exchange rate.

Tips

Check the faces first. Hitori, Ikuyo, Ryo, Rei (Plug Suit), Asuka, Madoka (School Uniform) and Nijika come with a blank face plus waterslide decals for other expressions, per the parts lists on their item pages. Those decals take the same care as any other, so our water decal steps apply. The pages for Madoka (Rising), Aris and Motoko list two printed faces and no blank one.

The tools are the usual short list. Gundam Planet's 30MP listings name a plastic nipper, a panel liner and a top coat as basic tools. Our beginner tools list puts them in buying order.

Then watch Bandai's next stream. The official 30 MINUTES CHANNEL lists its 16th new-product presentation for Nov 17 at 19:00 Japan time, with first reveals promised. The August stream's 30MP segment is below.

What we don't know yet

Bandai gives no height or scale for any 30MP kit, so we cannot tell you how a Fuchikoma stands next to Motoko. No US shop we read had a date for the two Hobby Online Shop kits.

Our take

Start with a 30MP kit Bandai has already shipped, then wait for the November kits to reach US stock. Six of the seven kits released before November could be ordered at Gundam Planet on Nov 4, at $52.95 to $70.95. The November and December kits USA Gundam Store lists carry a Q1 2027 estimate, and HLJ's preorder slots for two of them are full. If the Walpurgisnacht Madoka is the one you want, place a US pre-order and expect early 2027. We recheck prices and dates after Bandai's Nov 17 stream.

How we checked this

On Nov 4, 2026 (Vietnam time) we read Bandai Hobby Site's English and Japanese 30MP lists, Bandai's November shop news, the 30 MINUTES LABEL page, thirteen English and five Japanese item pages, all with a ?t= parameter. US prices come from Gundam Planet's and USA Gundam Store's own search data, because their product pages returned "too many requests" that night. Our first pass searched only "30mp" and missed four USA Gundam Store listings whose titles spell out "30 Minutes Preference"; we searched again by kit name at 03:52 and the tables use that read. So for Gundam Planet we know price and whether a kit could be ordered, not whether it was in stock or on pre-order. We read two HLJ product pages and its search; HLJ prices showed in Vietnamese dong and are not used. Newtype's search returned no 30MP kit. Gunjap, Gunpla 101 and GKC Nexus had no 30MP article when we searched their sites. We read no Reddit threads for this guide, so there are no community quotes. We did not convert yen to dollars.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Ghost in the Shell Fuchikoma a 30MM kit? No. Bandai files the 30MP Fuchikoma (¥2,500 before tax, December 2026 in Japan) under 30 MINUTES PREFERENCE, the same brand as the 30MP Kusanagi Motoko. 30 Minutes Missions is the label's line of original robots and game tie-ins. The two Ghost in the Shell kits are separate boxes at separate prices.

Do 30MP kits need glue or paint? Not according to the shops. Gundam Planet's 30MP listings, read Nov 4, end with "You don't need cement. You don't need paint." Bandai's pages do not say either way, but most kits come with two tampo-printed faces, and several add a blank face plus waterslide decals for other expressions.
