30MM EXBRAVE vs EXWILD: One ¥2,500 Frame, Two Weapon Sets
30MM EXBRAVE: the second Exa Beast, December in Japan at ¥2,500 before tax, with boosters and blades. The EXWILD ships first. US listings $30.95 to $31.
TL;DR: The 30MM EXBRAVE is scheduled for December 2026 in Japan, no day yet, at ¥2,500 before tax (¥2,750 with tax), for ages 8 and up. The EXWILD has the same price, frame and age mark, and Bandai's Japanese page dates it November 28. Bandai's English page calls the EXBRAVE's booster a "FLAREON Unit". US listings for either kit were $30.95 to $31, and only Gundam Planet's EXWILD listing gave a 2026 arrival. Checked Nov 6, 2026, 16:44 to 16:57 UTC.

Three US shops sell the 30MM EXBRAVE as the first Exa Beast. Bandai's own dates make it the second, one release month behind the EXWILD. Both cost ¥2,500 before tax and use the same frame, so you are choosing between two sets of four weapons: boosters and blades, or lasers and cannons.
30MM EXBRAVE vs EXWILD: what Bandai lists for each
| 30MM EXBRAVE | 30MM EXWILD | |
|---|---|---|
| Bandai's full name | 30MM 1/144 Extended Armament Beast (EXBRAVE) (Official images) | 30MM 1/144 Extended Armament Beast (EXWILD) (Official images) |
| Japan release | Dec. 2026, no day | Nov 28 (Japanese page); "Nov. 2026" on the English page |
| Japan price (before tax) | ¥2,500 | ¥2,500 |
| Japan price (with tax) | ¥2,750 | ¥2,750 |
| Age (Bandai) | 8 and over | 8 and over |
| Frame | same as the Xenovalt | same as the Xenovalt |
| Weapons in the box | Booster Unit ×2, Blade Unit ×2 | Laser Unit ×2, Cannon Unit ×2 |
| Status | scheduled for Dec. 2026 | scheduled for Nov. 2026 |
Neither name carries a Tentative label. Apart from the weapons, the two English pages repeat one feature list. Both kits come from "the new item category 'Exa Beast'", a "quadrupedal mechanical beast" that "does not belong to the existing three factions." Both have the 3mm hole, 3mm shaft and C-type joint that Bandai says connect them to all products in the series. Inside each sits an EX Joint Core Cube for "a beast-like dynamic range of motion."
Graphic: PlamoDesk. Sources: Bandai Hobby Site item pages 01_7270 and 01_7254 in English and Japanese, read Nov 6.
The rest of each month is on our lists of Gunpla releasing in November 2026 and Gunpla releasing in December 2026.
Boosters and blades vs lasers and cannons
Apart from the release month, that accessory line is the only difference the two item pages print. The EXWILD gets two Laser Units and two Cannon Units. The EXBRAVE gets two Booster Units and two Blade Units, which Bandai's Japanese item page writes as ブースターユニット and ブレードユニット.
The English page does not. Bandai marks the site as auto-translated, and its EXBRAVE list reads "FLAREON Unit × 2" where the booster should be. Nothing on the Japanese page is called Flareon. Gundam Planet, USA Gundam Store, Newtype and HLJ all list two booster units and two blade units, which matches the Japanese page.
The shops also add roles that Bandai's pages leave out. Gundam Planet's own copy calls the EXBRAVE "melee-oriented" and the EXWILD "ranged-type", and USA Gundam Store calls the EXBRAVE the EXWILD's "close-combat" counterpart. Bandai lists the parts and stops there; none of its pages we read says where the units mount or how they pose.
So the real choice is the look, at ¥2,500 either way. Bandai's item pages hold the official images, which we do not reproduce; open both before you pay.
Which Exa Beast comes out first
The EXWILD, by one release month. Bandai's Japanese EXWILD page gives a day: 2026年11月28日 (土), Saturday, November 28. HLJ's details row shows the same 2026/11/28. Bandai's English page and English November schedule give only "Nov. 2026".
Neither Bandai page for the EXBRAVE gives a day. The Japanese one says 2026年12月, December. HLJ's EXBRAVE row reads 2026/12/31, but the note on the same page says "Expected release date is Dec. 2026." Treat the 31st as a placeholder.
The US copy has the order backwards. Gundam Planet's description says "The first in Bandai's new 30MM Exa Beast series, the Exbrave roars onto the scene!" USA Gundam Store calls it "the debut entry" and Newtype "the debut release". Gundam Planet's own arrival estimates follow Bandai's order instead: December 2026 for the EXWILD, January 2027 for the EXBRAVE.
Ignore the age line on Gundam Planet's pages, too. Its EXBRAVE, EXWILD and Xenovalt pages all carry the same "Recommended for 15 years & up." Bandai marks all three kits for ages 8 and over.
The shared frame: a Xenovalt body for ¥300 more
Both English pages say the beast "utilizes the same frame as Xenovald". That spelling is the translation again. The Japanese pages say ゼノヴァルト, the 30MM 1/144 Xenovalt released in July 2026. Bandai's English page lists it as xEXM-001 and its Japanese page as xEXM-000, so match it by name, not code.
The Xenovalt lists at ¥2,200 before tax, with what Bandai calls "a completely new frame", four weapons and three head variants. Each Exa Beast costs ¥300 more before tax, or ¥330 more with tax. At Gundam Planet that gap disappears: on Nov 6 the in-stock Xenovalt and both beast preorders were all $30.95. USA Gundam Store had the Xenovalt at $28.99, a Q1 2027 preorder, $2 under its two beasts.
Neither Exa Beast had a review yet at Gundam Planet or USA Gundam Store. The nearest voice is a buyer of the frame donor, on Gundam Planet's Xenovalt page:
"Great kit! Smooth build process and great poseability" Alejandro, 5 stars, Gundam Planet review, September 2026
The cube is a product of its own, too. Bandai sells a Customize Material (EX Jointcore Cube) set: two cubes plus multi-joint parts, ¥600 before tax, out since March 2026. Its Japanese name, EXジョイントコアキューブ, is the word the beast pages use. Neither beast page says its cube is that same part, so do not buy the set expecting a spare.
Exa Beast prices against 24 Exa Vehicles
Our copy of Bandai's Japanese item list, 6,504 items as listed on Nov 1, has 26 items with Exa Vehicle (エグザビークル) or Exa Beast (エグザビースト) in the name: 24 vehicles and these 2 beasts. The count goes by name only, so Option Parts Sets and weapons are not in it. Prices are what Bandai lists now, not each kit's launch price.
Graphic: PlamoDesk. Source: our copy of Bandai's Japanese item list (checked Nov 1), prices with 10% tax.
At ¥2,750 with tax, the two beasts top all 26. The first vehicles, an Air Fighter Ver. pair dated May 2020, list at ¥858. The next highest are two 2025 bikes, the Boost Brave Bike Ver. and the Boost Wild Bike Ver., at ¥2,200 each; Bandai says each can carry a separately sold mech. The other 22 vehicles list between ¥858 and ¥1,518.
For a US builder, the Exa shelf is no longer the cheap add-on aisle. A beast now lists above the Xenovalt mech whose frame it uses, and at Gundam Planet it costs the same $30.95 as that mech.
30MM EXBRAVE US price and arrival
On Nov 6 the prices sat so close that each shop's date matters more than its price.
| Shop | EXBRAVE | EXWILD | Arrival or release the shop gives |
|---|---|---|---|
| Gundam Planet | $30.95 preorder (regular $32.95) | $30.95 preorder (regular $32.95) | EXBRAVE January 2027; EXWILD December 2026 |
| USA Gundam Store | $30.99 pre-order (regular $32.99) | $30.99 pre-order (regular $32.99) | Q1 2027 for both |
| Newtype | $31, "Coming Soon" | $31, "Coming Soon" | none shown |
| HLJ (Japan exporter) | "Order Stop", preorder slots full | "Order Stop", preorder slots full | Dec. 2026 and Nov. 2026 in its notes |

The three US prices sit within 5 cents. Gundam Planet says its month comes from "the official North American distributor" and adds: "It is possible this date will be delayed." It also holds an order until every item in it is available, so an EXWILD in the same cart as an EXBRAVE waits for the later one. USA Gundam Store gives Q1 2027 for both, the November kit included, and charges the full price at checkout. How each shop handles preorders is in our guide to where to buy Gunpla in the US.
For a Christmas gift, only one of the six US listings above gives a 2026 estimate: Gundam Planet's EXWILD, and that is an estimate. Our Gunpla gift guide lists picks that were in stock when we checked.
If you buy from a marketplace seller, compare the JAN barcode. HLJ lists 4580886844883 for the EXBRAVE and 4580886844661 for the EXWILD, and Gundam Planet's product data carries the same numbers. A matching barcode is one of the checks for bootleg Gunpla.
Analysis: which Exa Beast to order
Order the EXWILD if timing matters. It is the one with a Japanese day, Nov 28, and the only one with a 2026 US estimate. Order the EXBRAVE if you want the boosters and blades. You pay the same ¥2,500 in Japan and the same $30.95 to $31 in the US, one release month later.
If you already own the Xenovalt, either beast plugs into what you have: Bandai says both use its frame and the same 3mm joints as the rest of the line. If you are new to 30MM, skip both for now and start with one regular mech. Our 30 Minutes Missions guide explains why a body comes before any add-on.
Still not known: the EXBRAVE's Japanese day, whether one beast's weapons fit the other, and whether the separately sold EX Jointcore Cube is the part inside either kit. Bandai's pages we read answer none of the three.
How we checked this
We read Bandai's English and Japanese item pages for both beasts, the Xenovalt and the EX Jointcore Cube set, plus the Japanese pages of the two Boost bikes. That was on Nov 6 between 23:44 and 23:57 Vietnam time, the morning of Nov 6 in US time zones. Shop prices and status come from each shop's product or search page in the same window. HLJ showed prices in Vietnamese dong from our location, so we used only its status, dates and barcodes. The Exa counts come from our copy of Bandai's Japanese list, dated Nov 1. We have not built either kit.
