Gundam Wing Gunpla: Wing Zero, $20.95 HG to $194.95 PG
Gundam Wing Gunpla by grade: Wing Zero in HG, RG, MG, Ver.Ka, MGSD and PG, the other four Gundams in HG and MG, and why the 2025 RG costs more in the US.
TL;DR: Wing Zero comes as an HGAC (¥1,980 with tax, $20.95), two RGs (EW 2014; TV design 2025, $53.99 to $54.95), an MG EW (2004, $43.99), an MG EW Ver.Ka (2020, sold out at both US shops on Oct 17), an MGSD (2024, $54.99) and a PG Zero Custom (2000, $194.95). The other four Gundams have HG and MG kits but no RG. Checked Oct 24, 2026.

In Gundam Wing Gunpla, the newest Real Grade Wing Gundam Zero costs more in a US shop than the Master Grade one, although Bandai lists both at ¥4,620 in Japan. So the choice between Wing Zero kits is a choice of design, size and release year, spread over two decades.
Verdict: Pick the HGAC Wing Zero for a first kit under $21. Pick the 2025 RG Wing Zero if you want the TV design with detail. Pick the MG Wing Zero EW if you want the bigger kit for less money in the US. Skip the PG unless you want the 2000 kit at $194.95. Prices checked Oct 24.
Key Takeaways
- First kit: the HGAC 1/144 Wing Gundam Zero, $20.95 at Gundam Planet. Second kit: the RG or MG, by design.
- Same yen, different dollars: the 2025 RG and the 2004 MG both list at ¥4,620 in Japan; in the US the RG costs $10 to $11 more.
- RG Wing Zero release date: late September 2025 in Japan (the 27th) for the TV-design kit.
- Ver.Ka: the MG Wing Gundam Zero EW Ver.Ka (2020, ¥6,050) was sold out at both shops when we checked on Oct 17.
- 144 items sit under Bandai's Gundam W series filter, the newest a decal sheet for March 2027.
Overview: which Gundam Wing Gunpla exists
Gundam Wing and its sequel Endless Waltz gave Wing Zero two looks. GUNDAM Official calls Endless Waltz "the sequel to the original and iconic 49-episode series Gundam Wing" and says Wing Zero is "known for its beautifully iconic angelic-like wings" in that redesign. Bandai's kits follow the split: "EW" or "Endless Waltz" in a name marks the Endless Waltz design, and shop listings for the HGAC and the 2025 RG say they recreate the TV version.
Bandai's Japanese archive lists the first Wing Zero kit, a 1/144 Wing Gundam Zero, in September 1995. The main Wing Zero kits on sale today:
- HGAC 1/144 Wing Gundam Zero (TV design): March 2014, ¥1,980 with tax. HGAC is High Grade After Colony, the Wing timeline; our HGUC vs HGCE guide explains the labels.
- RG 1/144 Wing Gundam Zero EW: December 2014, ¥3,080.
- RG 1/144 Wing Gundam Zero (TV design): September 2025, ¥4,200 before tax on Bandai's English schedule, ¥4,620 with tax.
- MG 1/100 Wing Gundam Zero (Endless Waltz): October 2004, ¥4,620.
- MG 1/100 Wing Gundam Zero EW Ver.Ka: November 2020, ¥6,050.
- MGSD Wing Gundam Zero EW: November 2024, ¥4,950.
- PG 1/60 Wing Gundam Zero Custom: November 2000, ¥16,500.
The Hi-Resolution Model 1/100 Wing Gundam Zero EW (September 2017, ¥13,200) and SD versions (SD Cross Silhouette ¥1,100, SD EX-Standard ¥660) sit beside them.

Price: RG Wing Zero vs MG Wing Zero
Here the cheaper-looking grade is not the cheaper kit. Bandai lists the 2025 RG Wing Gundam Zero and the 2004 MG Wing Gundam Zero (EW) at the same ¥4,620 with tax in our Oct 11 copy.
Desk note: On Oct 24, USA Gundam Store had the RG Wing Gundam Zero at $53.99 and the MG Wing Gundam Zero (EW) at $43.99: $10 apart for two kits Bandai prices identically in Japan. Gundam Planet's RG was $54.95. For a US builder, the 1/100 kit is the cheaper Wing Zero, as long as you want the Endless Waltz design.
The MG is a 2004 kit and the RG a 2025 one, and Bandai's Japanese price for the new RG is ¥1,540 above its own 2014 RG Wing Zero EW (¥3,080). We found no US listing for the 2014 RG EW in either shop's top results on Oct 24.

Winner on price: the MG Wing Gundam Zero (EW), $10 under the RG at USA Gundam Store.
Design: Wing Zero (TV) vs Wing Zero EW
The two designs are different mobile suits on the shelf. The TV-design kits are the HGAC (2014) and the 2025 RG; the EW kits are the 2014 RG, the MG (2004), the MG Ver.Ka (2020), the MGSD (2024), the Hi-Resolution Model (2017) and the PG Zero Custom. GUNDAM Official says Endless Waltz gave Heavyarms Custom, Wing Zero "and more" a stylized upgrade.
Winner on choice: the EW design, with five of the seven main Wing Zero kits.
The other four Gundams: HG and MG only
The rest of the Wing team never got a Real Grade in Bandai's list. Our Oct 11 copy has RG kits of the Wing Gundam (EW 2016, ¥3,080; TV 2021, ¥3,520), the two Wing Zeros, the Tallgeese EW (2018) and the Epyon (2023, ¥4,620), and nothing for Deathscythe, Heavyarms, Sandrock or Shenlong.
They do have HG and MG kits:
- HG: HGAC Wing Gundam (2013, ¥1,870), HGAC Sandrock (2019), HG Heavyarms (2020), HGAC Deathscythe (2021) and HG Shenlong (2022), all ¥1,870 with tax. The newest is the HG 1/144 Gundam Sandrock Custom EW, June 2026, ¥4,180.
- MG (Endless Waltz design): Deathscythe EW (2010, ¥4,620), Deathscythe Hell EW (2011, ¥5,390), Shenlong EW (2011, ¥4,620), Sandrock EW (2011, ¥4,620) and Heavyarms EW (2012, ¥4,620). Bandai's list tags several variants, such as the Sandrock EW (Armadillo Lizard Equipment) for March 2026, as Premium Bandai.
- Entry Grade: an Entry Grade 1/144 Wing Gundam, October 2025, ¥1,100: the cheapest new Wing kit in the list. Our Entry Grade list covers the line.
Note the naming: Bandai's list mixes "HGAC" (Wing, Sandrock, Deathscythe) and plain "HG" (Heavyarms, Shenlong) in one line, as it does for HGUC.

For the Wing Gundam itself, US prices on Oct 24 were $42.95 for the RG and $54.95 for the MG at Gundam Planet, and $40.99 for the MG Ver.Ka at USA Gundam Store.
What builders say
Four r/Gunpla comments from October 2026, read through the Arctic Shift archive:
"As good as HG aerial is, RG wing zero is one of the best kits there is..." u/avscc on r/Gunpla, October 2026
"RG wing zero tv ver is best" u/protogen_D9910 on r/Gunpla, October 2026
"Good luck with the Wing EW. That thing's a LOT more finnicky compared to the Zero EW, despite having the same AMS Joint AND being a later release." u/ZeonTwoSix on r/Gunpla, October 2026
The same builder added that the Wing TV version is "a lot more satisfying build", signing off "Source: I own all 4 RG suits." Owners, not the desk.

Analysis: which Wing Zero to buy
If you have never built a kit, pick the HGAC Wing Gundam Zero: $20.95, the smallest outlay by $23. If you want the TV design with more detail, pick the 2025 RG; it is the newest Wing Zero kit, and the builders above rate it highly. If you want the angel wings of Endless Waltz at the lowest US price for its size, pick the MG Wing Gundam Zero (EW) at $43.99. Choose the MGSD only if you like the SD frame; at $54.99 it costs more than the MG. Skip the PG unless a 2000 kit at $194.95 is the point. Wait for a restock if you want the Ver.Ka: both shops showed it sold out on Oct 17.

Our take
Start with the $20.95 HGAC Wing Zero; buy the MG EW, not the RG, if price decides. Bandai prices the 2025 RG and the 2004 MG at the same ¥4,620, yet the MG was $10 cheaper at USA Gundam Store on Oct 24. Pick the RG only if the TV design or its newer engineering is what you want. We recheck Wing prices with the next comparison update.
What we don't know yet: any new Wing Zero kit after the RG of 2025. The only Wing item dated 2027 in Bandai's list is Gundam Decal No.153 for the RG Wing Gundam (March 2027, ¥770). GUNDAM Official confirmed new Gundam Wing video production in May 2026 but named no kit.
How we checked this
On Oct 24, 2026 we counted Wing items in our copy of Bandai Hobby Site Japan's item list (read Oct 11; Bandai's site was in maintenance) and read the RG Wing Zero date on our copy of Bandai's English schedule; read three GUNDAM Official pages on Gundam Wing and Endless Waltz; searched Gundam Planet and USA Gundam Store for "Wing Zero" and "Wing Gundam"; and read r/Gunpla comments through Arctic Shift. Ver.Ka prices come from our Oct 17 Ver.Ka check. We have not built these kits.
Frequently Asked Questions
When did the RG Wing Gundam Zero come out? September 27, 2025 in Japan, at 4,200 yen before tax (4,620 yen with tax), per Bandai's English schedule. It is the TV-design Wing Zero. The earlier RG Wing Gundam Zero EW, the Endless Waltz design, dates from December 2014 at 3,080 yen with tax.
Which Wing Zero Gunpla should I buy first? The HGAC Wing Gundam Zero is the cheapest real kit: 1,980 yen with tax in Japan and $20.95 at Gundam Planet on Oct 24. For more detail at the same size, the RG costs $53.99 to $54.95. The MG Wing Gundam Zero EW was $43.99 at USA Gundam Store.
Is the RG Wing Zero more expensive than the MG? In the US, yes. Both list at 4,620 yen with tax in Japan, but on Oct 24 the 2025 RG Wing Gundam Zero was $54.95 at Gundam Planet and $53.99 at USA Gundam Store, while USA Gundam Store had the 2004 MG Wing Gundam Zero EW at $43.99.
Are there RG kits of Deathscythe, Heavyarms, Sandrock and Shenlong? Not in Bandai's Japanese item list as we copied it on Oct 11. The RG Wing kits are the Wing Gundam (EW 2016, TV 2021), the Wing Gundam Zero (EW 2014, TV 2025), the Tallgeese EW (2018) and the Epyon (2023). The other four Gundams have HG and MG kits.
What is the difference between Wing Zero and Wing Zero EW? The design. Wing Zero is the TV series design; EW is the Endless Waltz redesign, which GUNDAM Official calls famous for its angelic-like wings. Bandai sells both: the RG EW (2014), the RG TV version (2025), the MG EW (2004) and the MG EW Ver.Ka (2020).
How many Gundam Wing Gunpla kits are there? Bandai's Japanese item list files 144 items under its Gundam W series filter in our Oct 11 copy, from March 1995 to March 2027. That count includes SD kits, limited editions and a decal sheet, so the number of distinct kits is lower.
