FULL MECHANICS: every kit, month and Japan price

What Full Mechanics is

FULL MECHANICS kits are 1/100 scale. Bandai's Japanese list dates the first one, the 1/100 Gundam Barbatos Lupus Rex, to February 2017. Most later kits come from Mobile Suit Gundam SEED and its side stories or from the Witch from Mercury, and a Graze Ein from Iron-Blooded Orphans is listed for January 2027. Kit pages name the series wherever Bandai's list gives one.

Some Full Mechanics kits transform. Bandai's English page for the Full Mechanics Raider Gundam (May 2022) says it changes from MS to MA form through sliding mechanisms and movable axes, with shoulders that transform without swapping parts, and the Boost Raider Gundam of December 2024 can also transform into a mobile armour form that Bandai says is reminiscent of a bird of prey. Others are about detail: the Full Mechanics Gundam Aerial of April 2023 adds the shell unit, which Bandai notes was not reproduced in HG, with plated parts, and a shield that splits into 11 blocks.

Bandai lists Full Mechanics as its own brand on its English site, separate from MG and RE/100.

Price and age rating

Bandai's English item pages list the Full Mechanics Gundam Aerial at 3,800 yen, the Raider Gundam at 5,000 yen and the Boost Raider Gundam at 6,200 yen, all before tax. That puts the line in the same range as a recent MG such as the 4,900 yen MG RX-78-2 Ver.3.0 or the 6,500 yen MG Barbatos Lupus, around the 4,000 yen RE/100 Vigna-Zirah. All three Full Mechanics kits are rated for ages 15 and over.

Who should buy Full Mechanics

Pick Full Mechanics if the suit you want has no MG, or if a transformation such as the Raider's is the reason you want the kit. For a 1/100 kit built around a precise inner frame, compare MG; for a 1/100 build that Bandai designed to be easier, RE/100 is the closer fit. The table below shows every item Bandai files under the Full Mechanics brand filter, with the release month and Bandai's current Japanese price.
