RE/100 [REBORN ONE HUNDRED]: every kit, month and Japan price

What RE/100 is

RE/100 [REBORN ONE HUNDRED] kits are 1/100, the same size as MG. Bandai's Japanese grade page describes the line as having refined part design that balances ease of building with overwhelming impact (our translation). An example is the RE/100 Vigna-Zirah of November 2019, a suit from Mobile Suit Gundam Silhouette Formula 91, whose item page says its head, armour and V.S.B.R. are reproduced in a new model.

Bandai's Japanese list dates the first RE/100, the 1/100 MSN-04II Nightingale, to September 2014. Premium Bandai editions appear in the line from 2016, and since late 2019 nearly every new RE/100 on the list, the Vigna-Zirah included, has been a Premium Bandai item, so expect to order many of them online from Premium Bandai rather than find them in shops.

Price and age rating

Bandai's English item page lists the RE/100 Vigna-Zirah at 4,000 yen before tax, which is in the range of a mid-priced MG such as the 3,900 yen MG Char's Zaku ver.2.0 or the 4,900 yen MG RX-78-2 Ver.3.0. It is rated for ages 15 and over. The median on this page uses Bandai's Japanese list, which includes 10% tax, for every RE/100 item still listed.

Prices vary with the suit: on the same Japanese list the large Nightingale costs ¥8,800 with tax, more than twice the ¥3,850 Gundam Mk-III of January 2015. The line is small, so the table lists every RE/100 Bandai files under its brand filter, with release months back to the first kits.

Who should buy an RE/100

RE/100 suits builders who want a 1/100 display piece of a suit that has no MG, or who want MG size with an easier build, which is what Bandai's own description promises. If the suit you want exists in both lines, compare the two item pages before you buy. For 1/100 kits built around a full inner frame, see MG; for Full Mechanics, the other 1/100 line, see its own hub.
