About Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans kits
Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans first aired on TV in 2015, according to the official Gundam site. Bandai kept making kits of it long after the broadcast: the MG Gundam Barbatos Lupus came out in November 2025 and an SD EX-Standard Gundam Barbatos in February 2026.
Bandai's English page lists the MG Barbatos Lupus at 6,500 yen before tax and says its latest Gundam frame allows even more dynamic poses. The MG Gundam Vidar (March 2025, 6,000 yen) has what Bandai calls an MG original gimmick: a handgun inspired by blowback movement. Both are 1/100 kits rated for ages 15 and over; on Bandai's Japanese list they cost ¥7,150 and ¥6,600 with tax (checked October 11, 2026).
For a smaller budget, the SDEX Gundam Barbatos is ¥660 with tax on Bandai's Japanese list and the MGSD Gundam Barbatos (October 2023) is ¥4,290. Most HG versions in the table sit in between. Bandai's page dates the MG Barbatos Lupus to November 22, 2025, and the SDEX Barbatos belongs to the same SD EX-Standard line as the SDEX Rising Freedom, which is 600 yen before tax on Bandai's English page. Bandai also sells option part sets for these suits, such as オプションパーツセット ガンプラ 11 for the Barbatos; they are add-ons, not complete kits.
