About Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn kits
Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn was first released as an OVA in 2010, according to the official Gundam site. Its kits run from HGUC to the MGEX line, which Bandai started with this suit: the MGEX 1/100 Unicorn Gundam Ver.Ka of September 2020, which Bandai's English page calls a new brand that challenges the extreme expression of each mobile suit. It launched on September 12, 2020 at 23,000 yen before tax, and its name carries the 1/100 scale.
Prices for Unicorn kits are moving. On Bandai's revision list for January to March 2027, the MGEX Unicorn Gundam Ver.Ka goes from ¥25,300 to ¥27,940 with tax and the MG Unicorn Gundam Ver.Ka from ¥5,500 to ¥6,270; HGUC kits such as the Gustav Karl (Unicorn Ver.) rise too. Our price changes page lists them.
The Unicorn Gundam itself has many versions, and Bandai sells the Banshee (ユニコーンガンダム2号機, Unicorn Gundam Unit 2) as separate kits; the table shows each with its month and today's price. Bandai's Japanese list dates the HGUC Full Armor Unicorn (Unicorn Mode) to May 2013 and the MG Banshee to March 2012. For a first Unicorn, compare the HGUC and RG versions in the table before the MG, which costs about twice as much, and the MGEX, which costs several times more.
