About After War Gundam X kits
After War Gundam X first aired on TV in 1996, according to the official Gundam site. On Bandai's schedule, 2026 brings three new general-release HG kits: the HG Gundam Leopard came out in August 2026, the HG Gundam Virsago in October 2026 and the HG Gundam Ashtaron is listed for November 2026. A clear-colour HG Gundam Double X, an event edition, is dated May 2026.
Bandai's English page says the Leopard comes "in the latest HG format" and lists it at 2,200 yen before tax. The Virsago, at 2,900 yen, recreates the extension gimmick of its Strike Claw. Both are 1/144 HG kits rated for ages 8 and over, so they suit a first build as well as a collection. Bandai's page dates the Leopard to August 8, 2026.
The Ashtaron is listed at 3,600 yen before tax, also "in the latest HG format", for ages 8 and over. On Bandai's Japanese list the Leopard, Virsago and Ashtaron cost ¥2,420, ¥3,190 and ¥3,960 with tax, and Bandai files all three under its After War Gundam X series filter.
